The Nevada Homeless Alliance works to assist organizations in the provision of services, development of partnerships and implementation of regional efforts related to homelessness. The NHA also serves as the primary advocate for nonprofit homeless service providers on the Southern Nevada Homelessness Continuum of Care (CoC) Board.
Provider meetings allow community providers to network, share resources, address service gaps and advocate for their organizations and clients. Topics include funding streams, public engagement, local/state/federal advocacy, available services, education on relevant services, and planning for regional homeless initiatives. We have been able to build and expand on partnerships to alleviate strain on organizations while better serving clients.
