Southern Nevada Homelessness Continuum of Care Monitoring Tools for CoC/ESG 

Please see links and documents below for tools that will be used during the current year’s monitoring process.

These monitoring tools were developed to monitor ESG and CoC-funded projects. Monitoring will be scheduled for 2023 and cover programs operating from July 1, 2021-June 30, 2022. If you have any questions, please reach out to the Monitoring Working Group.

2022 Southern Nevada Local HUD CoC Application 

U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) releases an annual Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the HUD Continuum of Care Homeless Funds.  The Southern Nevada Homelessness Continuum of Care (CoC) Evaluation Working Group releases  a CoC Local Application in the spring for renewal projects in preparation of the HUD local process to begin in the summer.  Information from this local application will be used to determine inclusion in the Consolidated Application to HUD for the CoC Homeless Assistance funds.

 The Continuum of Care Local Application is mandatory for anyone who wishes to participate in this year’s Southern Nevada Consolidated Application

May 12: 2022 Update to Scoring and Ranking Policies and Procedures and 2022 CoC Local Priorities Approved

May 31: Renewal Project Applications Open

June 13: Renewal Applicants Technical Assistance Workshop

June 15: Renewal Applications Open

July 11: Renewal Applications Due

 July 21 : Continuum of Care 101 Technical Assistance Training at 11:00 am-12:00 pm

 August 1: HUD Releases the 2022 Notice of Funding Opportunity

August 11: Technical Workshop for Renewal and New Projects: 9:00–11:00 am

 August 30: Projects Applications Due at 5:00 pm

September 8: Project Ranking Day at 8:00 am-4:30 pm

September 13: Appeals Due from applicants excluded from the priority ranking
September 14:  Appeal Hearings (if necessary)
September 15: Approval of Priority Ranking Recommendations by the SNHCoC Board at 2:00 pm

  • Applicant notification of confirmation of inclusion or exclusion from priority ranking

September 23: eSNAPS applications from projects due to the Collaborative Applicant
September 28: Posting of the Consolidated Application and the Priority Listing from eSNAPS by the Collaborative Applicant
September 30: Consolidated Application Due to HUD

Our community is investing resources to get and keep tenants housed. Financial assistance, tenant case management and landlord support is available to make this happen.
 

Help find homes for 2,022 unhoused individuals by the end of 2022.

In Southern Nevada, we need more affordable rental units to help people in our community become financially independent and thrive. Our community needs more studio, 1 and 2 bedroom rentals as well as bigger units.
